Are Organic Products Really Worth It?

So here we go. The old organic vs. industrial ‘it’s too expensive and doesn’t work as well’ argument. So what are the benefits and cons of both when it comes to using them for my landscaping and lawns. Here’s a video you can watch too.

Let’s take a look at the world’s #1 selling weedkiller, Roundup. I can sum this up for you really quick but I’ll start with a little science first and it starts with one word, well really two. Glyphosates and Cancer. Got it? Roundup causes Cancer. If you aren’t worried about giving your kids, pets, family, and friends who visit cancer then by all means by yourself a metric ton of RoundUp and go to work. Besides they probably won’t know where they got it so if you can live with yourself, go for it.

Now let’s look at the organic side of things.

Listen, I don’t know if you’re religious or not but once you really look at the complexity of everything and how it all perfectly works together you’ve got to be some kind of retard to think that the natural way isn’t as good. Sure it might not be as fast but there definitely not as many side effects. Anytime you try to speed something up, make something better than what occurs naturally there are going to be unintended consequences (or intended if you are Monsanto the most evil company to ever exist).

Why is that? Why is it that we can never do things better than nature intended?

Because the majority of people in charge are not nearly as smart as they think they are. You can’t out think eons of evolution. See, you don’t even have to believe in a divine ever-present Intelligence to come to the conclusion that the natural way is far, far better. We’re talking trillions and trillions of years Bubba. Maybe not on this planet but the planet and everything around you is made up of stars and the stuff that made up the stars are trillions and trillions of years old. Try contending with that.

So if you decide to make the choice to use organic products for your lawn all you have to do is change your expectations. Because nature has taken eons to evolve it acts slower. So take the slow approach. Don’t expect results overnight. Rather, feed your lawn the right stuff over a consistent period of time and you will literally reap the rewards. Give it the nutrition that Mother Nature intended and she will give you most luscious looking lawn since the Garden of Eden. And hey if it’s a Garden you’re using organics with it might as well be called the Garden of Eatin’.

Now, I’m not totally against Industrial products. Just like modern medicine, it is fast acting and is definitely needed in emergency conditions. If you have a diseased tree or lawn and the only way to correct it is to use some industrial product by all means go for it and once the problem is gone go back to the natural way as soon as you can.

Hope this helps you in your daily choices and if it doesn’t, we don’t really care as long as you buy our stuff. Thanks and good day.
